Dr. Bhaswati Acharyya

Dr Bhaswati C Acharyya is a very highly qualified Paediatrician who has
trained herself in India and UK.
Later on, she decided to dedicate herself to the superspecaility Paediaric Gastroenterology. She trained herself in Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology, including liver transplantation from
India and UK. She is currently a Consultant Paediatric
Gastroenterologist in AMRI Hospitals and Associate Professor in
Institute of Child Health (Kolkata). She has 25 indexed publications in
National and International Journals. She worked as Consultant
Paediatric Gastroenterologist in Royal Hospital for Children(Glasgow)
and Alderhey Hospital(Liverpool) in UK.
Dr Acharyya pioneered to
establish Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Eastern India.
She established the 1st Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Department in AMRI hospital, the first Paediatric Endoscopy and
Gastroenterology department in Institute of Child Health and an exclusive Paediatric Gastroenterology , Hepatology & Nutrition Clinic. She is a
great conference organiser and organised (as Org Secretary) in 2016, the National Paediatric Gastroenterology conference (3rd ISPGHANCON 2016) & IBD Awareness Meet in 2018 with great precision and success. She is a renowned national and international speaker and has about 150 presentations.
She loves to sing and has a diploma in Indian classical music and
Rabindra Sangeet. She writes poetry and is fond of reciting them.
Dr. Saumyabrata Acharyya

Dr Saumyabrata Acharyya is an accomplished Paediatric practitioner for the last 25 years. He attained his graduation (MBBS) and post graduation
(MD & DNB in Paediatrics) from India and then he moved to the UK for
further training. He achieved his DCH from London and Glasgow and
received his Membership of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child
Health .He was also honoured with the Fellowship from Royal College
of Ireland. He was trained in Paediatrics and Neonatology in different hospitals in the UK and worked as a Consultant Paediatrician in various hospitals in the UK. After coming back to India he has pioneered in establishing Neonatal Intensive Care setup in various tertiary centres in Kolkata.
Presently, he is working as a Senior Consultant Paediatrician and Neonatal
Intensivist in AMRI group of hospitals. He specialises in the care of critically unwell newborn children including the premature children. He runs a general paediatric clinic as well as a neonatal follow up clinic for neurological and developmental monitoring of the newborn.
He loves reading magazines, writing short stories often related to his career and is an avid cricket lover.
After more than 50 years of combined experience of working in private/public hospitals in Kolkata and abroad, Dr. S. Acharyya and Dr. Bhaswati Acharyya decided to open Aashwas Clinic in 2017. Aashwas is a culmination of the skills, expertise and knowledge of a vastly experienced paediatric gastroentologist as well as general paediatrician and neonatal intensivist. The purpose behind the clinic was to set up paediatric and paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition facilities all under one roof. It has established its mark as a General Paediatric speciality clinic by providing different facilities for our children. It aims to provide a holistic approach to paediatric and speciality care.
